These are projects where I was asked to partner in a study or exploration of some kind, or consult on a project where the results were used in-house — e.g where industry insight was researched and presented, but no portfolio piece was generated.
DIOR . The New Look Magazine
Brooke Travis — VP Marketing + Events, Dior North America
Thomas Serrano — President, Luxe division, Euro RSCG
Partnered with Brooke Travis at Dior and Thomas Serrano at Euro RSCG in putting together a proposal to create DIOR . The New Look Magazine. An over sized print version of the journal would be used as a marketing and entertainment piece to be handed out in boutiques and given via subscription to top patrons, with overages to be distributed for a variety of publicity purposes. A digital version of the magazine would be created with overlapping content, but with digital specific functionality and sections.
Outlined a Mission Statement; an example breakdown of the magazine — with sections dedicated to the various segments of Dior's business, history of The House of Dior, creative inspiration, culture, partnerships, entertainment and current events; production costs and schedules; a value proposition — in particular noting a focus on educating a North American consumer to The World of Dior.
Brooke presented the concept to headquarters in Paris. The print project never launched in North America, however, following the presentation, the Paris office launched a global digital version of a Dior Magazine, with a distinct resemblance to our presentation.
